Gujarat NEET UG Counselling 2026: Registration Is Open at medadmgujarat.org

If you’ve been checking medadmgujarat.org every few days waiting for something to change, here it is. ACPUGMEC has opened registration for MBBS, BDS, BAMS and BHMS admissions for the 2026-27 session. The timeline this year is a bit unusual though, and it’s worth understanding why before you fill anything in.

nfographic showing Gujarat NEET UG Counselling 2026 registration process for MBBS and BDS admissions. The graphic highlights online registration through MedAdm Gujarat, expected July 2026 counselling schedule, four counselling rounds (Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up, and Stray Vacancy), approximately 7,250 MBBS seats and 1,155 BDS seats across 43 medical colleges in Gujarat, along with step-by-step registration instructions including candidate profile creation, PIN purchase, document upload, state merit list, and choice filling. Why the schedule got pushed back

NEET UG 2026 was supposed to happen on 3 May. That exam got cancelled after a paper leak, and NTA held a re-exam on 21 June instead. Everyone’s calling it Re-NEET 2026, and it moved the whole national timeline:

  • NEET UG 2026 exam, original date: 3 May 2026 (cancelled)
  • Re-NEET UG 2026 exam: 21 June 2026
  • NEET UG 2026 result: delayed into July 2026
  • Gujarat counselling registration: opened shortly after the result
  • Gujarat counselling rounds: expected to start around 8 August 2026, still tentative

So if it feels like this year is running late compared to previous batches, it is. That’s not a Gujarat problem, it’s the paper leak working its way through the whole system.

What you can actually do on the portal right now

ACPUGMEC has switched on the centralised admission process, which right now covers registration, PIN purchase, and document upload. You create your candidate profile with your NEET UG 2026 roll number and basic details, pay for your PIN (registration fee plus refundable security deposit), and upload scanned copies of your marksheets and certificates. You also pick a help centre for document verification.

Choice filling won’t open until after the NEET UG 2026 result and the state merit list are out. Registering now doesn’t get you ahead in that part. It just means your account and documents are ready so you’re not scrambling when the merit list drops.

Seats this year

The numbers floating around for this cycle are roughly 7,250 MBBS seats and 1,155 BDS seats, spread across 43 medical colleges in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Jamnagar and elsewhere. Government seats through the state quota still cost around ₹25,000 to ₹50,000 a year, which is why they’re so competitive. The 85% state quota runs through medadmgujarat.org; the other 15% (All India Quota) is handled separately by MCC at mcc.nic.in.

Who this applies to

You can register for the 85% state quota if you took NEET UG 2026 (including the 21 June re-exam), hold a Gujarat domicile or meet ACPUGMEC’s residency rules for this cycle, and cleared Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotech and English at the required percentage for your category. If you don’t have Gujarat domicile, you’re only eligible for the 15% AIQ seats through MCC, not the state quota process here.

What to do before the merit list comes out

Register now instead of waiting for the result. Get your documents scanned and ready: NEET admit card, Class 10 and 12 marksheets, domicile certificate, category certificate if it applies, photo and signature. Watch for the NEET UG 2026 result date, since the Gujarat merit list usually follows within a week or two. Book your help centre slot early, because verification appointments fill up fast once registration opens. And pay only through the official medadmgujarat.org gateway. Every counselling season brings a fresh round of fake “seat guarantee” messages.

A few questions students keep asking

Is medadmgujarat.org the same as medadmgujarat.ncode.in? Yes. The ncode.in domain is the technical hosting address used by the developer; the public portal you actually use is medadmgujarat.org, and both lead into the same ACPUGMEC system.

When does the merit list come out? Only after NTA declares the NEET UG 2026 result, expected in July. ACPUGMEC usually publishes the provisional merit list within one to two weeks after that.

Can I fix mistakes in my registration later? Personal details, mostly yes. Category and domicile fields usually need to be corrected in person at the help centre with the supporting documents in hand.

How many rounds of counselling are there? Four — Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up, and a Stray Vacancy round for whatever seats are left.

This page will get updated once ACPUGMEC releases the actual merit list and Round 1 schedule. Worth bookmarking if you’re tracking this closely.
